As a business in New Hampshire, if you have a building equipped with an elevator, accessibility lift, dumbwaiter, boiler or pressure vessel, you need to be aware that these types of equipment require regular inspections and NH Operating Certificates in accordance with the NH Elevator and Accessibility Lift law and the NH Boiler and Pressure Vessels Inspection laws. The purpose for these laws is for the protection of employees and other citizens who may go into a building with elevators and accessibility lifts or heated with boilers or equipped with pressure vessels. New Hampshire has adopted through the Administrative Rules process nationally recognized codes for the manufacturing, installation and inspection of these units. The New Hampshire Department of Labor is responsible for administering and enforcing the following laws:
