    RSA 275:51,I - Empowers the commissioner to hold hearings and investigate charges of violations of the labor protection statutes either on his or her own motion or on an employee complaint.RSA 275:51

    RSA 275:51,V - Adds the department of labor as a party entitled to initiate a wage claim and extends the period in which to file a wage claim from 18 months to 36 months. RSA 275:51

    Reminder:

    Effective October 22, 2005 RSA 275:48,I Subparagraph (e) - allows deductions in wages when requested by the employee for contributions to political action committee.RSA 275:48

    Effective January 1, 2005 RSA 275:43-b - allows an employer to prorate the salary of an employee who is terminated for cause and an amendment to RSA 275:48, I added paragraph (d) subparagraphs (1) & (2) allowing an employer to withhold certain items from an employee's wages when the employee requests the withholding in writing.
